Senior Database/SQL Administrator - Retail

As a Senior Database Administrator, you will play a crucial role in the analysis, architecture, security, design, implementation, testing, maintenance, and repair of our Microsoft SQL Databases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert guidance and support to Application Developers.
• Collaborate on schema design, conduct code reviews, and fine-tune SQL queries.
• Install, tune, implement, and upgrade DBMS installations.
• Deploy SQL patches and oversee application schema and data upgrades.
• Take ownership of MSSQL database backup and recovery processes.
• Maintain least-privileged access to databases, ensuring data security.
• Process work accurately and efficiently within specified timelines.
• Proactively make recommendations for system improvements.
• Collate, prepare, and present statistical information for internal and external use.
• Perform additional duties as requested by the supervisor.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related information technology field.
• 7+ years of experience in programming languages such as C#, Java, and PL/SQL coding.
• Proven ability to design and implement efficient business processes.
• 5+ years of experience in administering, managing, and tuning databases.
• Extensive expertise with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong understanding of data and schema standards and concepts.
• Proficient in database design, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Sense of ownership and pride in performance with a keen impact on company success.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Team player with excellent time-management skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to function as a team member and collaborate effectively.

Lubbock, TX - Hybrid

Salary:

$105,000 - $125,000
