Hamilton Barnes is representing a leading UK retailer who are looking to hire a Senior Java Engineer.
Join our client's team as a Senior Java Engineer on a 6-month contract basis. The successful candidate must have skills on Java, Springboot, Back End REST API, Docker and Github. This position requires onsite presence in London at least 2 days per week.

Responsibilities:
- Owning responsibilities of work delivered, proactive in pull request peer reviews
- Reactive programming (spring webflux), postgres database, Payments domain, API GW, using monitoring and alerting tools like grafana, kibana, datadog, new relic
- Understanding of PCI security standards and PII Standards
Skills/Must have:
- Experienced Java, Spring Boot, Back End REST API developer
- Experience with GitHub
- Experience of using Docker (Creation of docker files, how to triage issues, logs)
- Experience is CICD and Agile, test driven development methodologies
- Experience in writing quality unit tests, integration tests, tests in BDD framework, performance tests and conceptswriting quality unit tests, integration tests, tests in BDD framework, performance tests and conceptswriting quality unit tests, integration tests, tests in BDD framework, performance tests and concepts
