We are now seeking a talented Network Engineer to join their remote team, responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting their network infrastructure. This role offers the flexibility of working from home with occasional travel to various locations as needed and the ideal candidate will possess expertise in SDWAN or SDA technologies, along with a strong foundation in Cisco networking.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and support SDWAN or SDA solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • Configure and maintain routing and switching infrastructure, including VLANs, routing protocols, and ACLs.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues remotely, identifying root causes and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define network requirements and develop scalable solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and tools to enhance network capabilities, recommending appropriate solutions to address organizational needs.
  • Document network configurations, diagrams, and standard operating procedures

Must-Haves:

  • Proficiency in SDWAN or SDA technologies, with hands-on experience in design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Certification: CCIE or CCNP in Routing and Switching (R&S) or equivalent, demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills in networking concepts.

  • Cisco ASA & FTD Experience
  • Cisco Wireless Experience
  • Experience with Cisco-focused technologies, including routing and switching (R&S), firewalls, and wireless networking.
  • Familiarity with Cisco wireless solutions, including design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of firewall technologies, preferably Cisco ASA or Firepower.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of managing complex network environments and driving projects to completion.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to MN, CO, IL for onsite meetings or projects.
  •  (SOPs) for reference and knowledge sharing.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering roles, with a focus on Cisco networking technologies.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, CCNA, or equivalent industry certifications are highly desirable.
