Senior Network Engineer (M/F/D) - Network consultancy

We are partnered with an innovative Network Consultancy, a subsidiary of a company with its own IP backbone, that is now seeking a Senior Network Engineer to become a key player in the realm of IP Networking. As the go-to expert, you'll be involved in various aspects of network design and technical consultancy, contributing to the success of high-speed residential internet services.

Responsibilities:

• Design and architect the IP/MPLS network to support high-speed residential internet services.
• Plan and implement network expansion and upgrades to meet growing customer demands.
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, and other network devices.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues promptly.
• Implement changes and updates to network configurations as needed.
• Manage MPLS-based services and connections, ensuring Quality of Service (QoS) for critical applications.
• Implement MPLS-based traffic engineering for optimal network resource utilization.
• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
• Continuously optimize network performance and efficiency.
• Identify and resolve network bottlenecks to improve overall customer experience.
• Proactively identify and resolve network faults to minimize service disruptions.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, including network diagrams and configurations.
• Generate regular reports on network performance and capacity utilization.
• Collaborate with network equipment vendors and service providers to ensure service delivery and equipment maintenance.
• Monitor network traffic trends and plan for capacity upgrades as needed.
• Forecast network growth and expansion requirements.

Skills/Must-Have:

• IP/MPLS network design experience.
• BGP, OSPF, and ISIS configuration expertise.
• Knowledge of network security.

Salary:

• €90,000 gross per year
