Hamilton Barnes is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong Java development skills to join a evelopment team on a 6-month contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects with a leading consultancy, serving a major British multinational retailer.
Responsibilities:
- Develop high-quality software solutions using the latest technologies such as JEE, Java 8+, Microservices, Spring Boot, or any equivalent microservices framework.
- Build robust APIs using REST, SOAP, or GraphQL, demonstrating a proven track record in API development.
- Implement best coding and design practices, patterns, optimizations, scaling, and clustering to ensure the scalability and maintainability of software solutions.
- Write tests in TDD/BDD, Integration test, Performance, Acceptance test, and Contract testing to ensure the reliability and stability of software products.
- Collaborate closely with the development team as a Senior Software Engineer, providing technical guidance and expertise.
Skills/Must have:
- Hands-on experience in Application Development using Java technologies such as JEE, Java 8+, Microservices, Spring Boot, or equivalent frameworks.
- Proficiency in building APIs with REST, SOAP, or GraphQL.
- Practical experience in implementing best coding and design practices, optimizations, scaling, and clustering.
- Strong background in writing tests in TDD/BDD, Integration test, Performance, Acceptance test, and Contract testing.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Salary:
- £450 per day.
