Senior Systems Engineer - MSP

2. You'll be at the forefront of system architecture and deployment, designing and implementing various IT environments to guarantee optimal performance, reliability, and security.
3. You'll lead the charge in implementing security best practices and ensuring compliance with industry standards, conducting regular security assessments and audits.

This role comes with a competitive salary of $100,000 to $125,000, along with medical, dental, vision benefits, paid certifications with a bonus of $1,000 per certification attained, and a 401k.

Responsibilities 

• Collaborate with our sales and consulting teams to design tailored IT solutions for our clients, encompassing server infrastructure, networking, virtualization, and cloud technologies. 
• Design and implement various IT environments, including servers, storage systems, virtualization platforms, mail, and cloud services, to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security. 
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities. 
• Design and deploy robust backup and disaster recovery solutions for our clients' critical data and systems to ensure business continuity.
• Create comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, standard operating procedures, and incident reports. Generate periodic reports to update clients on system health and performance. 
• Provide expert-level technical support to resolve complex issues, incidents, and problems related to systems, networks, and applications, adhering to predefined SLAs. 
• Work closely with other team members, including network engineers, support staff, and project managers, to ensure seamless delivery of services and projects. 
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends. Conduct research and evaluation of new tools and solutions that can enhance our services and client experience. 
• Foster strong relationships with our clients, offering technical guidance, participating in meetings, and acting as a trusted advisor for their IT needs.

Experience & Skills 

• Windows OS & Linux - design & management experience 
• VMware & Hyper-V
• Active Directory
• Directly from an MSP or MSP Experience (desirable)
• MCSE/CCNA (desirable)
