SRE Linux - IT Service Provider

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be an integral part of the growing IT Operations team, collaborating with fellow technical professionals to drive excellence in service reliability. This role is tailored for an experienced engineer ready to embrace Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Infrastructure as Code, and GitOps.

 Responsibilities:

• Embrace and implement Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Infrastructure as Code, and GitOps.
• Develop and maintain pipelines, scripts, and playbooks to minimize manual tasks.
• Contribute to projects transitioning production services to cloud environments.
• Design and implement public internet services.
• Troubleshoot internet service issues and provide comprehensive handovers and top-tier technical support.
• Manage provisioning, operational tasks (performance, scaling, organization, routine patching, security), and decommissioning of Linux servers.
• Handle infrastructure services such as email/SMTP, web, DNS, proxies, and webservers.
• Participate in a shared on-call rotation.

 Skills/Must-Haves:

• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, Google Deployment Manager).
• Extensive Unix/Linux expertise (Canonical Ubuntu, Redhat/CentOS) in large-scale, distributed Linux production environments.
• Familiarity with third-party public and hybrid cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform, OVH, Vultr, AWS).
• Skills in centralized management systems (Ansible, Puppet, Canonical Landscape).
• Advanced understanding of internet services and networking (DNS, email – postfix, HAProxy).
• Proficiency in Web Servers (Apache, NGINX).
