Technical Author - Technology Solutions Provider

Join a global leader in technology and engineering services, as a Technical Author. 

As a Technical Author on this 6-month contract for a pivotal long-term program, you will play a crucial role in creating Maintenance and Operational Procedures for in-service equipment. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Generating both structured and unstructured Technical Publications, incorporating graphics and animations in adherence to international writing specifications and defense standards.
• Conducting interviews with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to translate insights into technically accurate and safe procedural steps.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and XML is advantageous, and you will be expected to further develop these skills.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, including 3D CAD Models and Bills of Materials, to create comprehensive technical information.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a mastery of the 5Cs.
• Previous experience supporting defence equipment, coupled with a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and communication systems.

Skills/Must-Have:

• Proven experience as a Technical Author, preferably in defence equipment.
• Ability to generate Technical Publications adhering to international writing specifications and defence standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and XML, with a commitment to skill development.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including 3D CAD Models and Bills of Materials.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, mastering the 5Cs.
• Previous experience supporting defence equipment with a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and communication systems.

Determination: Inside IR35

Day Rate: £250PD - £300PD
