Our client is a leading provider of video collaboration solutions, specializing in collaboration and video conferencing technologies. They have recently secured significant contracts with esteemed clients in the financial services, and various governmental agencies. Their team is at the forefront of revolutionizing video evidence presentation in UK courts, with a focus on designing and implementing robust infrastructure utilizing Pexip as the backbone.

They are now seeking a video Engineer to join their team of experts. This role also offers an opportunity to grow into an Architect position within the organization, with exposure to cutting-edge technologies and ample opportunities for professional development.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a team of experienced engineers to design, build, and maintain video collaboration solutions for clients, including UK courts and other governmental organizations.
  • Play a key role in the expansion and maintenance of video evidence infrastructure in UK courts.
  • Gain SC clearance and act as a pivotal member of the team responsible for ensuring service delivery meets stringent requirements.
  • Work closely with Pexip technology, being heavily reliant on it for service delivery.
  • Implement and support cutting-edge networking technologies, including MPLS, to ensure optimal video performance.
  • Provide expertise in virtualization, orchestration, cloud technologies, and network architecture.
  • Assist in the configuration and maintenance of platforms utilizing VMware, VEEAM, and potentially Proxbox.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams in implementing platform configurations using Ansible and Terraform.
  • Provide support for Linux-based systems and related technologies such as DNS, NGINX, and iptables.
  • Adhere strictly to change management processes, ensuring high-level detail and compliance with regulations.
  • Periodically commute to data centers for maintenance and emergencies, although remote work is primarily supported.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of L3 Engineer experience with a strong background in video conferencing networks.
  • Proficiency in Pexip technologies and experience in working with similar solutions such as Clariti Edge/Manager and Media Suite.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP and data center management with Vodafone.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies including VMware and VEEAM, with exposure to Proxbox being advantageous.
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible and Terraform in a DevOps environment.
  • Strong understanding of Linux systems administration.
  • Expertise in IP networking, MPLS, and building robust networking infrastructure for video conferencing.
  • Experience with DNS, NGINX, and other related technologies.
  • Ability to work within strict change management processes and adhere to high-level detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to occasionally commute to data centers for maintenance and emergencies.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with GCP and data center management with Vodafone.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
  • Knowledge of Linux systems administration.
  • Previous experience in a court or government environment is advantageous.

Location: 

  • Flexible with occasional travel to data centers in Berkshire, Wiltshire, and Northwest London

Salary: 

  • £50,000 per annum
