Wireless Network Delivery Engineer - Managed IT Services & Solution Provider

We are partnered with this exciting business which for over 20 years, has provided managed IT services & solutions to the Central Valley, throughout Modesto, Stockton, Merced, and Sacramento.  We are now helping them recruit an Extreme Routing & Switching/Wireless Engineer.

Within this role, you'll lead in designing, implementing, and optimizing network solutions for clients. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Solution Design: Collaborate to design robust, scalable, and secure network solutions using Extreme Networks technologies.
• Implementation: Lead deployment and configuration of Extreme Networks routing, switching, and wireless solutions.
• Network Optimization: Continuously assess and optimize performance, identifying areas for improvement.
• Wireless Expertise: Specialize in designing and implementing Wi-Fi solutions, including site surveys and RF analysis.
• Technical Support: Address and resolve client issues, serving as an escalation point for complex challenges.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive network documentation, create knowledge base articles.
• Training: Conduct training sessions for clients and internal teams, sharing expertise and best practices.
• Stay Current: Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in Extreme Networks.

Skills and Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of Extreme Networks routing and switching products.
• Expertise in designing and implementing wireless solutions, preferably using Extreme Networks technologies.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, security principles, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with clients and internal teams.
• Relevant certifications such as Extreme Networks Certified Specialist (ENS), Extreme Networks Certified Expert (ENEX), or equivalent.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing complex network solutions, with a focus on Extreme Networks technologies.

Location:

• 1/2 days on site in Houston

Salary:

• $140,000
