An exciting opportunity has opened for an Account Executive / Account Manager based in Mississippi to support business growth and expand existing client relationships. This hire will support on consultative technology sales, working across mid-market and enterprise clients, and partnering with internal engineering and leadership teams to deliver effective security solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and grow a territory across Mississippi and surrounding markets through prospecting, networking, and account development
  • Manage existing customer relationships while identifying opportunities for expansion and renewal
  • Position Fortinet and complementary security solutions to meet customer business objectives
  • Build strong relationships with IT leaders, executives, and procurement stakeholders
  • Partner with pre-sales engineers to deliver technical presentations, demos, and solution workshops
  • Create account plans that drive long-term customer growth and retention
  • Collaborate with Fortinet channel teams to maximize partner alignment and joint opportunities
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast within CRM
  • Meet or exceed revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction goals
  • Stay current on cybersecurity trends, competitive solutions, and regional market activity


Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in technology sales, account management, or business development
  • Experience selling through a partner, VAR, MSP, or cybersecurity reseller environment
  • Proven success managing customer accounts and driving new business growth
  • Strong understanding of network security or cybersecurity solutions
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently in a territory-based role
  • Experience engaging with both technical and executive-level buyers
  • Willingness to travel throughout Mississippi as needed


Desirable Skills:

  • Existing relationships within the Mississippi business or IT community
  • Experience selling Fortinet solutions or competing security platforms
  • Background working with healthcare, education, government, or enterprise clients
  • Familiarity with managed security or professional services offerings
