The leading Frankfurt-based data centre platform is looking to appoint two Asset & Planning Managers to support the operational readiness of a growing portfolio of large-scale, mission-critical data centres in the Rhine-Main region. This is a hands-on, technically demanding role sitting at the critical interface between construction and operations, ensuring that every operator and customer requirement is properly considered, integrated, and tested before a single facility goes live.

Responsibilities:

  • Support operational readiness of data centres, ensuring operator and customer requirements are integrated during construction.
  • Work closely with Engineering & Construction to develop project-specific handover plans for Operations.
  • Continuously monitor construction progress from an operational readiness perspective.
  • Ensure smooth transition from Engineering & Construction to Operations.
  • Identify operator requirements and ensure their technical and documentary implementation.
  • Evaluate technical design with consideration of operational factors, maintainability, redundancy, and accessibility.
  • Ensure Operations team is trained on technical systems.
  • Review and assist with MOPs, EOPs, and SOPs.
  • Ensure operational safety processes are tested and ready before "Ready for Service".
  • Participate in construction, planning, and commissioning meetings.
  • Support and oversee commissioning activities (L2–L5).
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including building permits and BImSchG.
  • Support coordination of official inspections and regulatory approvals.
  • Participate in the formal handover process to the end customer/operator.
  • Monitor and track operations-relevant documentation.
  • Perform quality checks and issue notifications where installations may impact operational performance.
  • Standardise and optimise handover, construction, and documentation processes for future projects.


Skills / Must Have:

  • Graduate engineer, MSc, or technician with several years of relevant experience.
  • Specialisation in data centre engineering, systems, testing, commissioning, and IST processes.
  • Work experience in a critical data centre environment.
  • Experience with handover of construction sites to operations.
  • Extensive experience directly managing a team of mechanics and technicians.
  • Strong moderator and communicator.
  • Business fluent English with confident technical application required; German appreciated.

Salary:

  • €110,000 per annum
