The role is focused on identifying new opportunities, building strategic relationships, positioning cyber security solutions, and managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close while working closely with technical teams to deliver customer outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, LinkedIn and strategic prospecting.
  • Develop and execute account plans targeting enterprise and mid-market organisations across Queensland.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Sell Cyber7's portfolio of cybersecurity services including:
  • Managed Security Services (MSS)
  • Managed Detection & Response (MDR)
  • Security Operations Centre (SOC) Services
  • Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
  • Penetration Testing & Vulnerability Assessments
  • Security Assessments & Advisory
  • Cloud Security
  • Security Awareness Training
  • Incident Response & Cyber Resilience Services
  • Engage with CIOs, CISOs, IT Managers, Infrastructure Managers, Risk & Compliance Managers and executive stakeholders.
  • Understand customer business objectives and cybersecurity challenges to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with pre-sales engineers and technical consultants to deliver compelling customer presentations and proposals.
  • Manage the complete sales lifecycle from initial engagement through contract negotiation and close.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline forecasting and sales reporting.
  • Attend cybersecurity events, industry conferences and networking functions.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed new business and revenue targets.


Skills/Must Have:

  • 3+ years' experience in Business Development or New Business Sales within the IT industry.
  • Proven experience selling cybersecurity, managed services, cloud, networking or enterprise technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated success winning new logos and developing strategic client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity services and current market trends.
  • Experience engaging C-Level executives and senior IT decision-makers.
  • Hunter mentality with strong prospecting and pipeline generation skills.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, driven and capable of working autonomously.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
