Are you ready to move beyond box-ticking compliance work and into a role where you can genuinely shape and improve how a business operates?

A well-established technology and managed services business is seeking a Compliance Coordinator to join its compliance function on a permanent, hybrid basis. This role has been created with an increased budget specifically to attract a strategic-minded professional, rather than a purely administrative hire. You will work closely with the Client Manager to move the compliance function from reactive maintenance into proactive, value-adding territory, engaging directly with internal teams to identify pain points and streamline processes across the business.

This is a high-trust role. The business manages security clearance processes and compliance standards for a range of sensitive and high-profile clients, requiring strong discretion and a genuine understanding of confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing and maintaining ISO 27001, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001 compliance standards across the business
  • Supporting ISO 14001 and ISO 20000-1 standards where relevant to ESG, supply chain, and IT service management activity
  • Managing security clearance processes for staff working on sensitive and high-profile client contracts
  • Proactively engaging with internal teams to identify compliance-related pain points and streamline existing processes

  • Supporting and conducting internal audits in line with ISO standards
  • Attending and supporting external audits, including mandatory monthly travel to Manchester for 2-day audit visits

Skills/Must Have:

  • Demonstrable experience with ISO 27001 (Information Security) and ISO 9001 (Quality) standards
  • Experience with ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) standards
  • Experience managing security clearance processes for staff or contractors
  • Strong discretion and a clear understanding of confidentiality requirements
  • A proactive, strategic approach to compliance rather than a purely administrative mindset
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence engaging teams directly to identify process improvements

Nice to Have:

  • ISO 14001 (Environmental) experience
  • ISO 20000-1 (IT Service Management) experience
  • Internal Auditor Certificate
  • Experience managing Cyber Essentials Plus or NHS certification renewals

Benefits:

  • Hybrid working - 3 days office, 2 days home
  • Increased budget reflecting genuine investment in a strategic-level hire
  • Opportunity to shape and improve a compliance function from a position of real influence
  • Exposure to high-profile, high-trust client work
  • Permanent role within a well-established business
