An OSP Construction Inspector role is available for an experienced outside plant professional responsible for overseeing fiber optic and broadband construction activities. The position focuses on ensuring quality, safety, and compliance standards are met across projects, with a key role in monitoring field operations and supporting successful infrastructure delivery.

Responsibilities:
- Inspect OSP construction activities including trenching, conduit installation, cable placement, and restoration to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards
- Review and verify contractor daily performance reports, redlines, and as-built documentation
- Identify and document deficiencies, non-conformances, and safety violations, and track them through to resolution
- Conduct site walks and attend pre-construction and progress meetings
- Coordinate with project managers and engineering to resolve field conflicts and design issues
- Verify that all work meets local permitting conditions, utility requirements, and applicable codes
- Maintain accurate daily inspection logs, photo documentation, and field reports
- Ensure contractors are working safely and in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards
Skills / Must Have:
- Experience in OSP construction inspection or a closely related field construction role
- Working knowledge of fiber optic outside plant construction methods, aerial, direct bury, and conduit systems
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, construction plans, and specifications
- Familiarity with permitting requirements and municipal right-of-way standards
- Strong documentation habits, accurate, timely, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable holding contractors accountable in the field without escalating everything to management
- Valid driver's license required
