Responsibilities:

  • Review and fully understand the project scope, requirements, and associated contracts.
  • Create and execute project work plans and schedules within budget and project specifications.
  • Manage all day-to-day operational aspects of a project to ensure on-time delivery; including, but not limited to, fiber network design, permitting, material delivery, construction management, purchase orders, invoice approvals, system readiness, network operations acceptance and close-out packages.
  • Provide accurate reporting and forecasting of project timelines and required resources.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with internal and external stakeholders with prepared reports, progress updates, answering questions, resolving issues and managing change requests to project scope and plans.
  • Foresee potential risks and propose mitigation solutions that will allow the project to stay on track and on budget. Report identified risks to management.
  • Work closely with the OSP Engineering and OSP Operations teams to ensure alignment with the delivery of construction ready packages for a smooth transition to construction and the ongoing communication back to engineering to incorporate field changes.


Skills/Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Telecommunications, Business Administration, or equivalent in a related field.  
  • Previous Project Management experience with 5+ years’ experience in telecommunications with a strong preference for managing projects involving OSP fiber design and construction.
  • Knowledge of Telecom construction and engineering, project budget creation and management, project scheduling and tracking, project finance, cost reporting, and field office operations.
  • PMP or comparable project management certifications are highly desirable.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to manage big picture concerns and details as needed, prioritizing tasks and delegating effectively.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work with different functional groups and all levels of employees to achieve results effectively and professionally.
  • Proficient in MS Office software and general project management and ERP applications.
  • Ability to Work with Google Earth KMZ’s and KML’s.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
