The organization is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their growing team, focused exclusively on data center and mission critical infrastructure across the US. The Controls Engineer will design automation, monitoring, and control systems for complex mission critical data centre environments, working across heat rejection systems, chilled water plants, industrial air handling units, and electrical power monitoring systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Executing controls design for complex, mission-critical data center projects
  • Developing control drawings, specifications, points lists, and sequences of operations
  • Developing drawings and specifications for issuance to architects, contractors, and building owners
  • Attending client meetings and contributing to technical discussions
  • Integrating mechanical and electrical engineering requirements into facility-wide controls and monitoring systems
  • Collaborating with internal engineering disciplines and external vendors and manufacturers
  • Communicating complex control and monitoring concepts to clients and stakeholders
  • Reviewing controls contractor and system integrator shop drawings to ensure compliance with design requirements
  • Surveying and evaluating existing site conditions
  • Maintaining and developing client relationships through regular interaction
  • Performing system reviews and drawing checks prior to issuance


Skills/Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
  • 5–7 years of experience designing building automation control systems for commercial, industrial, or mission critical facilities
  • Strong understanding of building-type HVAC systems or process control applications
  • Experience from a controls vendor, commissioning agent, or design consultant environment
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and related design software
  • Knowledge of building, mechanical, electrical, and energy codes
  • EIT or PE license (or ability to become licensed)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed
