They are seeking a Data Centre Operations Engineer to support the monitoring, triage, and coordination of operational incidents across large-scale production server infrastructure within hyperscale data centre and colocation environments. Working within a 24x7 operations team, the role acts as the first point of response for infrastructure events, coordinating with Server Operations Engineers, onsite technicians, vendors, and engineering teams to ensure incidents are managed efficiently and production services remain operational.

Responsibilities
- Monitor production infrastructure and respond to server-related alerts and operational incidents using enterprise monitoring platforms.
- Investigate infrastructure alarms, assess operational impact, and determine the appropriate escalation path.
- Act as the first point of contact for production infrastructure incidents affecting live server environments.
- Coordinate with Server Operations Engineers, onsite technicians, Smart Hands teams, and external vendors throughout incident resolution.
- Manage incidents from initial detection through to resolution, ensuring timely communication and accurate documentation.
- Escalate hardware, connectivity, and infrastructure issues in accordance with established operational procedures.
- Track operational incidents, infrastructure requests, and maintenance activities through JIRA and internal ticketing systems.
- Produce shift handover reports and maintain detailed operational documentation.
- Support planned maintenance activities by following SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, and operational runbooks.
- Participate in a 24x7 rotating shift supporting mission-critical production infrastructure.
Requirements
- 1-3+ years' experience within Data Centre Operations, Infrastructure Operations, NOC, Technical Operations, or Enterprise IT environments.
- Experience monitoring production infrastructure and responding to operational incidents.
- Experience working with infrastructure monitoring, alerting, or incident management platforms.
- Experience using ticketing systems such as JIRA, ServiceNow, or similar.
- Strong incident management, prioritisation, and operational coordination skills.
- Experience working with onsite operations teams, Smart Hands providers, vendors, or field engineers.
- Ability to work effectively within fast-paced, mission-critical production environments.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Experience following operational procedures, SOPs, MOPs, and technical runbooks.
