This company is seeking a Facilities Operations Leader to oversee mission-critical mechanical and electrical infrastructure across a state-of-the-art data center campus. The role focuses on delivering world-class uptime, operational excellence, and reliability while supporting the continued growth of a leading AI cloud platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day to day operation of critical MEP infrastructure including UPS, generators, switchgear, transformers, HVAC, chillers, CRAH and CRAC units, BMS and fire protection systems
  • Manage and develop facilities engineers, technicians and contractors while driving a strong safety first culture across a 24/7 operational environment
  • Own incident response, root cause analysis, preventative maintenance programmes and operational procedures including SOPs, MOPs and EOPs
  • Drive operational excellence through KPI reporting, capacity planning, reliability improvements and infrastructure expansion projects
  • Manage external vendors, maintenance contracts and compliance with operational, environmental and health and safety standards
  • Support sustainability initiatives by improving energy efficiency, monitoring PUE and optimising cooling and electrical performance


Skills/Must Have:

  • 5 to 10+ years of experience within critical facilities or data center operations
  • Strong knowledge of mission critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure including UPS, generators, switchgear, cooling systems and power distribution
  • Experience managing technical teams within a 24/7 mission critical environment
  • Experience developing maintenance programmes, incident management processes and operational procedures
  • Familiarity with CMMS platforms, BMS and facility monitoring systems
  • Strong leadership, vendor management and stakeholder communication skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting and operational decision making abilities


Desirable Skills:

  • Experience within hyperscale, AI cloud or colocation data center environments
  • Knowledge of Finnish health, safety and environmental regulations
  • Experience driving energy optimisation and sustainability initiatives
  • CDCP, CDCS, Data Center Facilities Engineer or equivalent certifications
  • Electrical or mechanical trade qualifications
  • Finnish language skills
