The organization is currently on the lookout for a Quantity Surveyor to take commercial ownership of large-scale data centre projects. The ideal candidate will manage the full commercial lifecycle of electrical packages, from tender and procurement through valuations, change control, and final account, working closely with in-house project managers, construction teams, and engineers. Candidates from data centres, pharma, healthcare, semiconductor, or HV/MV infrastructure backgrounds will be strongly considered, with a clear route to Senior QS and Commercial Manager roles as the business grows its data centre portfolio.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the full commercial lifecycle of electrical packages on data centre projects, from tender to final account
- Prepare and submit monthly valuations and applications for payment, and agree them with the main contractor or client
- Identify, price, notify and negotiate variations, change orders and compensation events
- Produce cost reports, forecasts, cost-to-complete and cash flow projections
- Procure and administer subcontract and supply packages, including long-lead electrical equipment
- Work closely with project and construction managers to track labour productivity, material costs and margin
- Support estimating and bid teams with cost data and lessons learned
- Prepare and agree final accounts, and resolve disputes and commercial claims where needed
Skills/Must Have:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on mission-critical projects (data centres, pharma, life sciences, healthcare or similar)
- Background with an electrical or M&E contractor, or strong exposure to electrical packages
- Strong track record with valuations, change management, cost reporting and final accounts
- Commercial acumen, with a focus on margin protection and risk management
- Confident negotiator, comfortable dealing with main contractors, clients and supply chain
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar; MRICS or working towards it desirable
- Strong Excel skills and experience with commercial or cost management software
