The organisation is seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer to join a well-established engineering team on an initial 12-month contract. This is a hands-on role responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, compliance activities, and supporting facilities across multiple sites. This position would suit a qualified electrician with strong facilities maintenance experience who enjoys working independently while maintaining high standards of safety and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across multiple sites.
- Complete reactive maintenance and fault repairs.
- Conduct operational and safety audits.
- Coordinate and supervise specialist maintenance contractors on site.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and compliance documentation.
- Perform PAT testing and electrical safety checks.
- Support minor building fabric repairs and general maintenance tasks.
- Produce regular maintenance and compliance reports.
- Manage maintenance consumables and associated expenditure.
- Participate in an on-call rota as required.
- Travel across the UK, including occasional overnight stays.
Required Skills & Experience
- City & Guilds (or equivalent) qualified Electrician.
- Previous experience in a Facilities Engineer or Building Services role.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong understanding of health & safety and compliance.
- Experience managing contractors and working independently.
- Good IT skills and accurate record keeping.
- Eligible to obtain or hold security clearance.
Desirable
- City & Guilds Test & Inspection qualification.
- PAT Testing qualification.
- IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
- Experience with HVAC, air conditioning, refrigeration, UPS systems, generators or BMS.
- Plumbing and drainage maintenance experience.
