This company is seeking a Field Service Technician to support a rail contract across the South East of England. This field-based role follows a 4-on/4-off shift pattern with no on-call requirement, providing full in-house training while supporting the installation, maintenance, and servicing of technology systems across the network.

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out routine maintenance and fault diagnosis on rail-related technical assets across the network
  • Travelling across the defined service area to attend to faults and scheduled maintenance work
  • Completing relevant rail industry safety and access checks as required
  • Maintaining accurate records of work carried out and assets serviced
  • Working a structured 4 on/4 off shift pattern across early and late shifts


Skills/Must Have:

  • Based within the defined service area - London, Crawley, Farnham, or the South coast
  • Proven technical or field service background, ideally within technology, telecoms, or similar maintenance environments
  • Eligible to pass a Sentinel check for rail contract access
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Comfortable working a rotating shift pattern with no fixed weekly routine


Desirable Skills:

  • Previous experience on a rail or transport-related contract
  • Experience working with a Train Operating Company (TOC) or similar rail infrastructure provider
