Responsibilities:

• Monitor and investigate security alerts across enterprise environments
• Assist with security incident triage and response activities
• Analyse logs and identify potential threats using SIEM platforms
• Support vulnerability assessments and remediation activities
• Assist with endpoint, network and cloud security monitoring
• Work alongside senior security engineers on threat hunting initiatives
• Maintain security documentation and incident reports
• Continuously develop technical knowledge through mentoring and training

Skills/Must Have:

• Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Cyber Security, Information Technology or related field
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS and Firewalls
• Exposure to Linux and Windows operating systems
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles including the OWASP Top 10
• Familiarity with security tools such as Splunk, Wireshark, Burp Suite or Microsoft Sentinel
• Basic scripting experience with Python, Bash or PowerShell is advantageous
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn

• CompTIA Security+
• CompTIA Network+
• CCNA
• Microsoft SC 900 or SC 200
• AWS Cloud Practitioner
• Security Blue Team Level 1 (BTL1)
