The company is looking for a senior network leader to oversee the strategy, performance, and continuous development of its network infrastructure. Reporting to the Network Director, the role is responsible for leading the IP core, aggregation, and supporting infrastructure to ensure secure and reliable scalability in line with business growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Define the evolution of the IP core and aggregation infrastructure to support retail and wholesale services.  
  • Oversee robust operational governance for incident, change, risk, and capacity management.  Architecture & Scalability: Set standards for high availability and resilience testing, approving all high-level and detailed technical designs.  
  • Act as the senior technical representative in engagements with key vendors, partners, and wholesale stakeholders.  
  • Ensure the network estate operates in line with the Telecoms Security Act and other regulatory obligations.  
  • Create clear development pathways and succession planning while fostering a culture of technical excellence.  


Skills/Must Have:

  • Significant experience in a carrier, ISP, or telco environment is essential.  
  • Proven ability to lead and "rally" engineering teams, managing both permanent staff and contractors.  Technical Depth: Deep knowledge of MPLS, BGP, and OSPF within carrier-grade environments.  
  • Hands-on experience with Juniper (Core), Nokia, and Adtran (Optical/ONT) platforms.  
  • Certification in CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent-level practical experience is essential.  
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence from engineering levels up to senior leadership.
