HydroVac Operator - Telecoommuncations

Our client is a well-established telecommunications infrastructure provider delivering large-scale network construction and deployment projects across the US. With more than 30 years of industry experience, they support major broadband and telecommunications programmes from initial design and engineering through to construction, installation and ongoing network development.

With long-term contracts and continued investment in their construction operations, they are looking for an experienced HydroVac Operator to join their team and support residential telecommunications build-outs.

As a HydroVac Operator, you will operate HydroVac equipment across residential telecom construction projects, supporting safe and efficient excavation around existing underground infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Operate HydroVac equipment safely and efficiently across residential telecom construction sites.
• Carry out hydro excavation to support underground telecommunications infrastructure projects.
• Work safely around existing utilities and underground infrastructure.
• Complete pre-use equipment inspections and ensure machinery is maintained to a high standard.
• Follow site safety procedures and OSHA requirements at all times.
• Work alongside construction crews to support the successful delivery of telecom build-outs.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.

Skills & Experience

• 2–3 years of HydroVac or relevant heavy equipment operating experience.
• Previous construction industry experience.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Strong understanding of safe equipment operation and construction site procedures.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a field-based construction team.
• Reliable, safety-conscious and comfortable working in an outdoor construction environment.

Salary

• Up to $34 per hour
