Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out routine and preventative maintenance on client assets in the field
  • Attending faults and applying a logical, methodical approach to diagnosis and rectification
  • Performing fibre optic fault diagnosis and rectification
  • Completing component-level workshop repairs and accurately recording work
  • Producing shift reports and asset upgrade reports for management
  • Supporting and mentoring junior service technicians
  • Deputising for the Team Leader when required
  • Managing personal administration including timesheets and vehicle checks


Skills/Must Have:

  • Proven experience in a field services or maintenance engineering role
  • Basic fibre optic experience, fault finding and rectification
  • ONC or BTEC in Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong report writing and communication skills
  • Logical approach to fault finding with the ability to work independently
