The company is looking for a Junior Project Manager to join its PMO on a fully remote, 6-month contract. You’ll manage a portfolio of smaller customer-facing technology projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring delivery is within scope, timescales, budget, and quality standards. Responsibilities:

  • Project Delivery
    • Manage multiple concurrent technology projects from initiation through to completion.
    • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones and delivery documentation.
    • Coordinate activities across customers, internal technical teams, partners and third-party suppliers.
    • Ensure projects are delivered against agreed scope, timelines, budgets and quality standards.
    • Manage project dependencies, including hardware, connectivity, platform readiness and third-party services.
    • Identify and escalate delivery risks or concerns where required.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Management
    • Act as a key point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Build strong relationships with customer and internal stakeholders.
    • Manage expectations and ensure clear, consistent communication.
    • Lead project meetings, workshops and progress reviews.
    • Ensure all stakeholders remain aligned on responsibilities, dependencies, scope and delivery milestones.
  • Project Governance & Reporting
    • Deliver projects in line with established project management methodology and governance processes.
    • Maintain accurate project plans, forecasts, risks, issues, dependencies and resource information.
    • Maintain project records and financial information within project management systems.
    • Produce regular project status reports, forecasts and delivery updates.
    • Provide clear visibility of project progress, risks, issues and financial performance.
  • Financial Management
    • Monitor project budgets, forecasts and financial performance.
    • Support invoicing and revenue recognition activities.
    • Monitor project margins and identify potential commercial risks.
    • Ensure delivery remains aligned with contracted scope and agreed project effort.
  • Risk, Issue & Change Management
    • Identify, assess and manage project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies.
    • Maintain risk and issue registers and drive appropriate mitigation actions.
    • Manage project changes through agreed change control processes.
    • Escalate significant delivery, commercial or customer risks where appropriate.
  • Resource Coordination
    • Coordinate internal and third-party resources across assigned projects.
    • Work with technical teams and resource managers to secure the required project resources.
    • Monitor resource requirements and identify potential delivery constraints.
    • Coordinate supplier engagement and delivery activities.
  • Testing, Deployment & Handover
    • Coordinate UAT, migration, deployment and go-live activities.
    • Support operational acceptance testing and service transition.
    • Coordinate operational handover activities.
    • Ensure project deliverables and documentation are completed prior to closure.
    • Conduct lessons-learned reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.


Skills/Must Have:

  • Previous experience working as a Project Manager or Junior Project Manager, ideally within a technology, telecommunications, IT or managed services environment.
  • Experience managing multiple projects or workstreams concurrently.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, governance and delivery processes.
  • Experience managing project plans, risks, issues, dependencies and change.
  • Strong customer and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fully remote environment.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of project budgets and financial management.
  • Comfortable working with technical teams and translating technical requirements into clear project actions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.


Desirable Skills:

  • Experience delivering projects across networking, cloud, infrastructure, unified communications, customer experience or cybersecurity.
  • Experience within a managed services, technology or systems integration environment.
  • Experience using project financial management or PSA platforms.
  • Experience coordinating UAT, migrations, deployments and service transitions.
  • Project management qualification such as PRINCE2, AgilePM, APM or equivalent.
