This company is looking for a Senior Electrical Estimator to lead complex estimating activities across large-scale hyperscale, colocation, industrial, and mission-critical projects. The role involves managing the full preconstruction process, from take-offs through to bid hand-off, while collaborating with engineers, project managers, vendors, customers, and subcontractors. Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed electrical cost estimates from take-off stage through to bid hand-off
- Develop and manage estimates for change orders
- Analyze material, labor, and equipment requirements for projects
- Prepare, compute, and submit project bids
- Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
- Attend pre-bid meetings and scope review meetings
- Coordinate and organize estimating team activities
- Obtain vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Maintain organized and standardized change order documentation
- Analyze project risks and cost exposures
Skills/Must Have:
- Experience working for an electrical contractor is strongly preferred
- Strong background in electrical estimating on large-scale construction projects
- Data center / mission critical experience highly desirable
- Experience coordinating or leading estimating teams
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Low Voltage Systems
- Strong understanding of labor, material, procurement, and subcontractor pricing
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
