Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of liquid cooling systems across new data centre builds and expansions
- Define and optimise cooling strategies for high density, GPU focused environments
- Validate and verify cooling and mechanical designs throughout design and construction phases
- Own cooling related documentation for construction, commissioning and operational handover
- Collaborate with consultants, contractors and vendors to ensure designs meet performance, efficiency and resilience targets
- Support commissioning, testing and transition of cooling systems into live environments
- Review and approve design submissions and as built documentation
- Drive standardisation and continuous improvement of liquid cooling and mechanical design across multiple sites
Skills/Must Have:
- Strong mechanical engineering background within data centre or critical environments
- Proven experience designing and delivering liquid cooling solutions such as direct to chip or immersion cooling
- Solid understanding of high density cooling strategies for AI or HPC workloads
- Experience supporting projects through full lifecycle from design to commissioning
- Ability to review, challenge and optimise third party designs
- Strong technical documentation skills and attention to detail
