Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site mechanical engineering support across a growing data centre campus portfolio in the Frankfurt Rhine-Main area
- Support the installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of mechanical systems including cooling, HVAC, chilled water, and associated infrastructure
- Monitor and maintain mechanical plant performance to ensure continuous, uninterrupted data centre operations
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve mechanical faults promptly to minimise risk to operational continuity
- Coordinate with construction, commissioning, and operations teams during new build and fit-out phases
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, maintenance records, and compliance reports
- Support the delivery of planned preventative maintenance programmes across all mechanical systems
- Liaise with contractors, equipment manufacturers, and specialist vendors on-site
- Contribute to continuous improvement of mechanical systems performance and energy efficiency in line with the company's sustainability commitments
Skills/Must have:
- Qualified Mechanical Engineer with a degree or equivalent technical qualification in mechanical engineering or a related discipline
- Proven hands-on experience in mechanical engineering within data centres, mission-critical facilities, industrial, or high-specification commercial environments
- Strong knowledge of cooling systems, HVAC, chilled water infrastructure, and associated mechanical plant
- Experience supporting or delivering commissioning and testing activities on mechanical systems
- Ability to work effectively on site in a fast-paced, operationally critical environment
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-oriented approach
- German working proficiency essential for site and stakeholder engagement
- EU citizenship required
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
