Key Responsibilities

  • Represent network infrastructure design and deployment requirements across global data centre environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, construction, and operations to integrate space, power, cooling, and connectivity into designs
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of network infrastructure standards, technical documentation, and design processes
  • Conduct construction administration and site visits, working with architects, engineers, and contractors to validate builds against standards
  • Provide guidance to design, construction, and operations teams to ensure alignment with design intent and reduce deviations
  • Support commissioning, provisioning, and operational readiness of network infrastructure across global sites
  • Drive strategic initiatives focused on scalability, efficiency, innovation, and standardisation
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and external vendors
  • Contribute to automation, tooling, and AI initiatives to enhance consistency, quality, and efficiency


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5 to 7+ years of experience in designing and deploying data centre connectivity infrastructure
  • Strong expertise in structured cabling and fibre optic systems, including design standards and installation best practices
  • Working knowledge of fault-tolerant power and cooling architectures in high-availability environments
  • General understanding of data centre design, construction, and commissioning processes
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and large-scale infrastructure design efforts
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution
  • Working knowledge of networking technologies including TCP/IP, routing, switching, optical transport such as DWDM, and redundancy concepts
  • Proven ability to operate in ambiguous environments and collaborate across teams
  • Strong prioritisation, multitasking, and communication skills


Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Infrastructure, or a related field
  • Professional Engineering licence or relevant data centre design certifications preferred
  • Electrical safety certifications such as NFPA or OSHA preferred
  • Data centre certifications such as CDCP or equivalent preferred


Additional Requirements

  • Experience leading and managing matrixed technical teams
  • Familiarity with data centre facilities and Industrial Control Systems such as BMS, DAS, WiFi, PTP, fire protection, and physical security systems
  • Working knowledge of Data Centre Infrastructure Management systems
  • Experience with Autodesk tools
  • Familiarity with Linux-based systems and scripting or automation using Bash, Python, or Perl
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to improve workflows and drive measurable outcomes
  • Flexibility to support occasional out-of-hours work for critical activities such as cutovers, testing, or incident response
  • Willingness to travel for site surveys, construction reviews, commissioning, and issue resolution as required
