A private equity-backed SD-WAN and network solutions provider is expanding its technical delivery team, and is looking to bring on a Solutions Architect for a hands-on, field-based role. The ideal candidate will work alongside three senior SAs, taking real ownership of implementation and low-level design across LAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN estates, with around 25% travel to client sites across the UK. Fully funded certification training, including CCNP and Fortinet, forms part of a structured progression path.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver Low-Level and High-Level Designs (LLD/HLD) across customer network environments
• Implement and support SD-WAN solutions, predominantly on Meraki, with secondary exposure to Cisco and Fortinet
• Act as the customer-facing technical lead on site visits, workshops and implementation projects nationally
• Travel to client sites (circa 25%) across the UK to deliver hands-on technical work
• Collaborate with the senior solutions architect team on design handover and delivery execution
• Maintain strong client relationships, representing the business professionally in front of end customers

Skills/Must have:

• Experience: Mid-level, proven hands-on solutions architecture or senior network engineering background
• Core Tech/Domain: Strong Cisco LAN/WLAN and SD-WAN experience, ideally Meraki-heavy (circa 80% Meraki, 10% Cisco, 10% Fortinet), plus Fortinet security exposure
• Methodology/Protocols: Demonstrable LLD and HLD design experience
• Soft Skills: Genuinely customer-facing, comfortable presenting and communicating directly with clients, energetic and engaged rather than seeking a settled, low-change role

Desirable Skills:

• Background from Cisco directly, or from comparable network/SD-WAN specialists
• Relevant CCNP or Fortinet certifications already in progress or held
• Experience gained at a similarly structured MSP or network solutions provider

Salary:
