Responsibilities:

• Design a new network from the ground up, including spine-leaf architecture across multiple datacentres
• Architect BGP and Layer 3 routing, plus multicast over private fibre
• Deliver low-latency, long-distance UDP transport between datacentres in the Netherlands and abroad
• Make sure the network supports the full broadcast signal chain, from production source through encoding, transcoding and transport
• Set the technical direction and hand over designs to the engineering team for rollout

Skills/Must have:

• 8 to 10+ years in network design, specifically within broadcast or media environments
• Background with a cable, telecom or fibre operator, or a broadcast services provider
• Strong hands-on knowledge of multicast, BGP, Layer 3 and spine-leaf design
• A solid understanding of broadcast signal flow, including encoders, transcoders and video processing
• Experience with Cisco infrastructure
• Dutch speaking is strongly preferred, along with a good understanding of the Dutch broadcast market
