The established network infrastructure provider is looking for an experienced Network Architect / Engineer to join its Architecture & Network Engineering team. This is a hands-on technical position focused on designing, developing and supporting large-scale carrier-grade IP and optical networks while helping shape future service offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop carrier-grade network solutions and new service offerings.
  • Lead or contribute to proof-of-concept lab testing and validation.
  • Develop and maintain scalable routing, switching and optical network architectures.
  • Ensure network configurations, software and security follow best practice.
  • Support the ongoing evolution of a large-scale ISP backbone.
  • Produce technical documentation, network designs and implementation plans.
  • Provide technical support for pre-sales engagements and solution design.
  • Develop equipment bills of materials and support capital planning.
  • Contribute technical content for RFPs, RFIs and customer proposals.
  • Work closely with engineering teams on network improvements and innovation.
  • Participate in industry events and technical forums where required.


Required Experience

  • 5+ years' experience within a Service Provider or ISP networking environment.
  • Strong background designing carrier-grade IP networks.
  • Experience with routing, switching and MPLS technologies.
  • Strong understanding of BGP, IS-IS, Carrier Ethernet and Layer 2/Layer 3 VPN services.
  • Experience with Cisco service provider platforms including ASR, NCS or Cisco 8000 series.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS XR and IOS XE.
  • Linux or Unix administration experience.
  • Experience with network automation and scripting.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple technical priorities within fast-paced environments.

  • SD-WAN design experience.
  • EVPN/VXLAN and Segment Routing.
  • Python automation.
  • QoS design and implementation.
  • Palo Alto firewall experience.
  • DWDM optical networking experience.
  • OTN, ROADM and coherent optical transport.
  • Visio and network documentation tools.
  • Experience with Spirent or Viavi testing platforms.
