The business is seeking a Network Project Engineer to join its global infrastructure team. Operating across enterprise data centers and cloud (AWS) environments, the successful candidate will lead major network infrastructure initiatives, including data center migrations, core network upgrades, and operational automation. Key duties also involve providing high-level support and executing complex troubleshooting across critical trading network architectures.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver network projects, infrastructure upgrades and data centre migrations.
• Configure routing, switching, firewalls and customer connectivity.
• Troubleshoot complex network performance and connectivity issues.
• Implement changes across on-premises and AWS infrastructure.
• Improve monitoring and operational processes through scripting and API-based automation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, customers and vendors.

Skills/Must Have:

• CCNP-level networking expertise, with strong hands-on BGP, OSPF, routing and switching skills.
• Experience delivering network infrastructure projects.
• Next-generation firewall experience, Palo Alto preferred, other vendors welcome.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, including packet analysis.
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with technical teams and customers.

Desirable Skills:

• Financial services or exchange infrastructure experience.
• Arista switching experience.
• Multicast and MPLS.
• Python scripting and API-based automation.
• AWS networking exposure.

Salary:

• £100,000 annualised salary
• £50,000 gross over six months
