Join a leading IT consultancy that has secured a major onsite engagement with a utilities partner, delivering critical network and security infrastructure as part of a live Cyber Security and Zero Trust Architecture programme.

This is a great opportunity for a Network Security Engineer to join a high-profile transformation programme spanning both IT and OT environments. The successful candidate will design and support secure, resilient network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and cloud connectivity, working hands-on with Check Point and Cisco Meraki technologies at scale. The role also involves leading network upgrade and transformation projects end-to-end, and supporting secure IT/OT convergence through industrial DMZs and controlled connectivity between operational and enterprise systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, implements, and maintains enterprise and OT network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and cloud connectivity
  • Delivers network components for the Cyber Security and Zero Trust Architecture programme, ensuring adherence to security and governance standards
  • Configures and supports routing, switching, firewall, VPN, and network segmentation technologies across complex environments
  • Leads network transformation and infrastructure upgrade projects from design through implementation and handover
  • Supports secure IT/OT convergence via industrial DMZs and controlled connectivity between operational and enterprise networks


Skills/Must have:

  • Strong hands-on expertise with Check Point technologies
  • Solid experience in cloud networking and integration with enterprise networks
  • Practical experience with Network Access Control (NAC) solutions
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki wireless networking (VPN experience a plus)


Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in Water Utilities, CNI, Energy, or other regulated environments
  • CCNP, CCIE, Palo Alto PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, AWS Advanced Networking, or Azure Network Engineer Associate certifications
