The organization is currently on the lookout for a Network Operations Engineer to join a new Network Operations Centre being built out in Singapore, supporting a large-scale, high-performance network spanning both IP and Optical (DWDM) infrastructure. The ideal candidate will monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain network performance across both IP and Optical layers, playing a key role in ensuring network availability and resolving incidents within a structured, non-shift environment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and support network infrastructure across IP (L1–L3) and Optical (DWDM) domains
• Troubleshoot faults across routing, switching, and optical transport layers
• Act as the primary point of contact for network incidents and service issues
• Perform structured fault isolation across physical and logical network layers
• Manage incidents in line with SLAs, ensuring timely resolution and communication
• Escalate issues to engineering and vendor teams where required
• Support provisioning activities, including circuit turn-up, testing, and validation
• Maintain accurate documentation across incidents, changes, and configurations
• Contribute to continuous improvement across monitoring, tooling, and processes

Skills/Must Have:

• Experience within a Network Operations Centre or large-scale network environment
• Strong foundation in IP networking (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs)
• Hands-on experience with vendors such as Cisco or Juniper
• Exposure to optical networking concepts (DWDM, transport networks, or fibre infrastructure)
• Experience using monitoring and ticketing systems in an operations environment
• Ability to troubleshoot across multiple layers of the network stack
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Desirable Skills:

• Certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, or equivalent
• Experience within telecom, ISP, or service provider environments
• Exposure to optical vendors (e.g. Ciena, Nokia, Huawei)
• Understanding of circuit provisioning, cross-connects, or backbone connectivity
• Exposure to automation or scripting (Python, Bash, etc.)
