Optical Network Engineer - Technology Vendor

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead project documentation efforts, including Low-Level Design (LLD), Network Design Documents (NDD), Link Diagrams, and Acceptance Test Plans (ATP).
• Translate high-level solutions into actionable designs, ensuring alignment with customer needs and technical standards.
• Serve as the primary engineering contact for customers, providing expertise in LLD, IDP, DCN design, synchronization design, and more.
• Support and mentor field technicians to meet Engineering, Furnishing & Installation (E,F&I) objectives.
• Ensure timely and accurate project reporting, documentation, and administrative deliverables.
• Make informed decisions on scheduling, planning, and deliverables to ensure project success.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and support across engineering and field services teams.
• Identify areas for process improvement and support strategic initiatives related to service delivery.
• Support submarine network deployment planning and engineering.

Technical Requirements:

• Optical Transmission (Long Haul & Metro), WSON, ASON, OTN, SDH
• Ethernet technologies and Network Management Systems
• DCN network planning and sync architecture
• Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
• Hands-on experience with design tools like Visio, and documentation in Word and Excel

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 12 years of experience in telecoms engineering, project management, or customer service
• Proven background in DWDM, Submarine DWDM, OTN, and Data Centre Interconnect technologies
• Strong experience in DWDM/OTN link integration, commissioning, and acceptance testing
• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (preferred)
• Proficiency with Unix/Linux/Solaris environments

Salary: 

• ₱40,376 per month
