This company is looking for a Permitting Supervisor to lead the permitting process for large-scale fiber and OSP construction projects. The role offers the opportunity to take ownership of permitting operations, work closely with engineering and construction teams, and support continued network expansion through high-impact infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day permitting activities for OSP fiber construction projects
  • Oversee applications for municipal, county, state, utility, and right-of-way permits
  • Manage encroachment, joint-use, pole attachment, and other applicable permitting processes
  • Track permit status, timelines, approvals, and outstanding requirements
  •  Coordinate with engineering, construction, field operations, municipalities, utilities, and outside agencies
  • Identify and resolve permitting issues that could impact construction schedules
  • Maintain accurate permitting records, documentation, and reporting
  • Help establish and improve permitting processes, procedures, and best practices
  • Provide guidance and support to permitting specialists and other team members


Skills/Must Have:

  • 3+ years of telecommunications, fiber, OSP, or utility permitting experience
  • Previous experience leading or supervising permitting activities
  • Strong understanding of right-of-way and OSP permitting requirements
  • Experience working with municipalities, utilities, counties, and government agencies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and permit applications simultaneously
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and understand OSP engineering plans and construction documentation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and permitting/project tracking systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
