Responsibilities:
- Act as a key member of Squad A, collaborating closely with the Senior Platform Engineer
- Design, build, and maintain the integration layer connecting BSS and OSS systems
- Support the transition from vendor-managed integrations to a fully in-house engineering capability
- Develop and manage integrations between Salesforce Communications Cloud and core systems, including billing, provisioning, and network platforms
- Ensure seamless data flow across systems to support customer connectivity across the UK
- Contribute to the ongoing transformation of the organisation’s integration architecture from day one
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum 18 months of hands-on integration or API development experience in a professional delivery environment - working on real platform implementations with production consequence, not solely academic or training exercises
- Solid REST API fundamentals (HTTP methods, status codes, JSON/XML payload structures) with practical experience consuming or publishing APIs in a professional context
- Exposure to integration concepts in practice (connecting disparate systems, handling data transformation between formats, managing errors and retries in integration flows)
- Working experience with at least one Scripting or development language (Python, JavaScript, Java, C#, or equivalent) used to build or support integration or automation work
- Source control experience - Git, branching, pull requests, and working within a team development workflow
- Awareness of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment practices - sufficient to operate within a structured DevOps delivery model
Desirable Skills:
- Demonstrable exposure to MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, Anypoint Studio, and the standard connector catalogue (HTTP, SFTP, Database, Salesforce) - with the ability to configure and troubleshoot integration flows from a specification
- DataWeave 2.0 awareness and growing proficiency - able to write and interpret basic-to-intermediate transformation logic for JSON and XML payloads
- Salesforce connector experience or familiarity with Salesforce APIs
- Exposure to RAML or OpenAPI Specification for API contract documentation
- Telecoms, ISP, or BSS/OSS platform awareness
- MuleSoft Certified Developer (Associate or Professional level)
- Exposure to event-driven patterns - Webhooks, message queuing, async integration
