The organization is currently on the lookout for a Network Engineer to join its team in Piraeus on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will assess vessel network topologies, deliver internal networking solutions, manage complex escalated customer tickets, and contribute to customer-facing meetings alongside the sales team. This is a technical support role with customer engagement built in, not a pre-sales position.

Responsibilities:

• Assessing network topology on vessels and evaluating appropriate internal solutions
• Delivering and maintaining two internal networking solutions - a MikroTik environment and an in-house Ubuntu-based platform
• Taking ownership of complex, escalated customer tickets and resolving them directly via phone and written communication
• Joining sales meetings with customers to provide technical input and support
• Producing clear, accurate written communications for customers and internal stakeholders
• Contributing to ongoing improvement of support processes and solution delivery

Skills/Must Have:

• Solid networking fundamentals: subnetting, firewall rules, and NAT implementation
• Proven experience handling complex, escalated customer support tickets in a technical environment
• Confident and composed verbal communication skills - must be comfortable resolving issues with demanding or frustrated customers on the phone
• Clear and professional written communication skills in English
• Support engineering background - candidates from a pure pre-sales background are not suitable for this role

Desirable Skills:

• Hands-on MikroTik experience
• Basic familiarity with Ubuntu-based network environments
• Exposure to maritime or vessel network topology

Salary:

• €1,800 - €2,000 net per month
