An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Cost Analyst to join a growing team. The successful candidate will oversee the development and maintenance of integrated project schedules and financial controls for a major data center construction program. Primary responsibilities include establishing project cost baselines, reconciling financial commitments against actual expenditure, and generating rolling cash flow forecasts and executive variance reports. Additionally, the ideal candidate will direct the capital expenditure authorization workflow while ensuring strict adherence to internal compliance and accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Govern the project cost baseline and WBS coding across the program
  • Reconcile commitments vs. actuals across all cost systems on a weekly basis
  • Produce cash flow models, rolling forecasts, estimate-at-completion reports and executive-ready variance dashboards integrating schedule and cost data
  • Own the end-to-end AFE and Capex authorization process, from package preparation through board-level sign-off and lender draw support
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements and audit readiness throughout the project lifecycle


Skills/Must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Accounting or related field (equivalent experience considered)
  • 3-6 years' project controls or cost engineering experience on large-scale capital construction projects ($50M+)
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining project budgets, WBS structures and managing Capex approval workflows
  • Proficiency with cost management/PMIS platforms such as Primavera P6/EPPM, SAP, Procore or e-Builder
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, financial modeling); Power BI or Tableau a plus
  • Data center, energy infrastructure, oil & gas or hyperscale construction experience, with a solid understanding of construction contracts (GMP, lump sum, IDIQ) and change order management
