The multi-billion dollar international construction company is expanding their data center presence across multiple sites in the Hermiston/Umatilla, Oregon area and is looking for a Quality Control Engineer, or QC Manager for the right level of experience, to help ensure the highest levels of product quality and compliance across its projects.

Responsibilities: 

  • Support project-level application of company standard operating procedures
  • Review subcontractors' work for compliance with specifications, applicable codes, and contract requirements
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and product verification
  • Provide technical support to the project management team, Quality Manager, and subcontractors
  • Support implementation and monitoring of corrective and preventive actions in the field
  • Identify issues and trends that may impact product quality and customer satisfaction
  • Support continuous improvement processes, measuring performance and addressing deficiencies
  • Maintain feedback mechanisms ensuring quality-related information reaches the wider project team
  • Participate in project reviews and close-out processes, feeding lessons learned into future projects
  • Build effective relationships with customers, design teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups


Required Skills/Qualifications: 

  • BS in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field with 4-7 years' experience preferred, or a minimum of 8 years' progressive construction trade experience supervising and inspecting construction activities
  • Recent, hands-on data center project experience with major clients (e.g. Google, Microsoft, Iron Mountain-level companies)
  • Background with a General Contractor preferred; MEP subcontractor background considered
  • Industry-related certifications
  • Strong organizational skills, able to plan and manage multiple activities to achieve results
  • Familiarity with electronic data collection and inspection methods
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and standard PC use
  • Open to relocation and/or travel across projects and regions
