The leading Dutch IT consultancy is seeking a Security & Network Engineer on behalf of their client in the petrochemical and energy sector for a freelance role based in Haaksbergen. Responsibilities:

  • Resolve complex incidents and implement changes across the network and security estate.
  • Design solutions and lead technical projects from end to end.
  • Drive migrations and cloud-based network management initiatives.
  • Assess concepts for feasibility, risk, and cost, translating them into practical plans.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, engineers, and external suppliers.
  • Ensure solutions are properly designed, tested, and documented.
  • Manage supplier relationships and maintain service continuity.


Skills/Must Have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a comparable role.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, cloud security, ExpressRoute, and BGP.
  • Solid experience with Zero Trust Network Access and SASE.
  • Demonstrable experience with IT/OT segmentation.
  • Experience with VMware, Nutanix, Aruba Wi-Fi, switches, ClearPass, and Aruba Central.
  • Check Point experience is a bonus.
  • Fluent in both Dutch and English.
