Responsibilities:
- Support, configuration, and deployment of integrated AV and physical security systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, conferencing systems, digital signage, and control systems.
- Conduct onsite assessments, gather requirements, and create detailed design documentation including SOWs, system schematics, rack elevations, and BOMs.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop project timelines, manage resources, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Interface directly with clients to provide technical guidance, and support post-installation needs.
- Maintain expert knowledge of industry technologies and best practices across AV, access control, video management systems (VMS), network infrastructure, and integrated security platforms.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as an AV technician, physical security technician, or a hybrid of both.
- Strong understanding of AV systems: DSPs, control systems (Crestron/AMX/Extron), conferencing platforms, display technologies, signal flow, and networking fundamentals.
- Proven experience with physical security platforms such as access control systems, VMS, and security hardware.
- Strong knowledge of low voltage cabling standards and installation best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead technical conversations with both clients and internal teams.
Desirable Skills:
- Industry certifications such as CTS/CTS-D, Crestron/Extron/AMX, Genetec, Milestone, Lenel, or similar.
