Responsibilities:
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot security platforms across client environments
- Support and optimize technologies including:
- SIEM / SOAR platforms
- XDR / MDR solutions
- Microsoft 365 Security
- Proofpoint
- Check Point
- Act as a Tier 3 escalation point for advanced security incidents and technical issues
- Analyze endpoint, network, and cloud security events to identify root causes
- Assist clients during troubleshooting calls and provide technical guidance
- Participate in customer-facing meetings to explain security technologies and best practices
- Mentor junior security analysts and engineers on tools, workflows, and procedures
- Document findings, remediation steps, and internal processes
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve security operations and service delivery
- Develop deeper expertise across multiple security disciplines over time
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC), MSP, or cybersecurity support role
- Hands-on experience with:
- SIEM platforms
- Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR/XDR)
- Email security platforms
- DNS and internet protocols
- Microsoft 365 security tools
- Strong understanding of:
- DNS
- Business information systems
- Endpoint security
- Threat detection and response
- Experience troubleshooting complex security tools and configurations
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with clients
- Ability to explain technical security concepts in a business-friendly way
- Strong desire to learn and expand into additional security technologies
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in an MSP environment
- Familiarity with vulnerability management
- Exposure to sales engineering or pre-sales technical discussions
- Experience mentoring junior team members
- Security certifications such as:
- Security+
- CySA+
- SC-200
- Check Point certifications
