The organization is currently on the lookout for a Director/Senior Director of OSP Engineering to lead outside plant engineering, fibre network design, and deployment planning for a major, multi-year network expansion initiative. The ideal candidate will shape network expansion strategy, lead a team of engineering and deployment professionals, and coordinate consultants and contractors, playing a critical part in determining where fibre and fixed wireless technologies should be deployed as the network evolves.

Responsibilities:

• Lead OSP engineering, fiber design, and network expansion initiatives.
• Provide leadership for a team of approximately 5–10 engineers, supported by a fiber deployment program manager and project coordinators.
• Oversee high-level network design across multiple existing service areas.
• Translate network strategy into executable fiber deployment plans.
• Coordinate the transition from high-level design into detailed design and construction.
• Manage the planning and execution of large-scale fiber expansion programs.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and external partners.
• Facilitate collaboration between engineering, network architecture, sales, marketing, operations, and construction teams.
• Evaluate where fiber, fixed wireless, or additional wireless densification makes the most strategic and economic sense.
• Incorporate sales, commercial, and market considerations into network planning decisions.
• Oversee fiber builds supporting enterprise, SMB, commercial, and residential customers.
• Manage projects associated with relocating or replacing legacy network infrastructure.
• Coordinate projects involving reimbursable or mandated infrastructure relocations.
• Maintain relationships with municipalities, utilities, transportation agencies, railroads, and other external stakeholders.
• Support business-as-usual fiber opportunities generated through the sales organization.
• Ensure engineering and design deliverables are completed on schedule and support construction timelines.
• Provide strategic guidance while maintaining hands-on operational leadership of the engineering organization.
• Navigate multiple funding channels and associated program requirements.

Skills/Must Have:

• Significant leadership experience within telecommunications OSP engineering.
• Proven experience leading fiber network design and deployment.
• Experience managing large-scale fiber expansion or overbuild programs.
• Strong understanding of OSP engineering, fiber architecture, and network deployment.
• Experience managing engineering teams and cross-functional programs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead both strategic planning and tactical execution.
• Experience coordinating consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of fiber-to-the-premises network deployment.
• Experience working with enterprise/commercial fiber builds is highly valuable.
• Experience working with municipalities, utilities, transportation agencies, or other external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent engineering and deployment initiatives.

Salary:

• Up to 225,000 Base Salary + Up to 50% bonus and long term incentives
