Responsibilities:

  • Lead the electrical design of hyperscale, colocation and enterprise data center projects from concept through construction.
  • Design medium and low voltage power distribution systems, UPS systems, standby generators, switchgear and mission critical electrical infrastructure.
  • Produce and review electrical construction documents including single-line diagrams, power distribution layouts and equipment schedules.
  • Perform or oversee load calculations, short circuit, coordination and arc flash studies.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, structural and technology disciplines to deliver fully integrated project solutions.
  • Act as the technical lead on multiple projects, ensuring quality, accuracy and compliance with client standards.
  • Support construction administration through RFIs, submittal reviews, field observations and technical issue resolution.
  • Participate in commissioning activities and support successful project handover.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development opportunities.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continued growth of the Mission Critical team.


Skills/Must Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 8+ years' experience designing electrical systems for mission critical, data center or other complex building projects.
  • Strong understanding of medium voltage, low voltage and critical power distribution systems.
  • Experience designing UPS systems, generators, switchgear, transformers, busway and standby power infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD and power system analysis software such as SKM or ETAP.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA and applicable electrical codes.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required or actively pursuing licensure.
  • Proven ability to lead projects, mentor engineers and work directly with clients.
  • Excellent communication and project coordination skills.
