This company is seeking a Senior Mechanical & Thermal Engineer to lead its mechanical and thermal engineering function while remaining hands-on with design and analysis. Responsibilities:

  • Design, analyse, procure, assemble and test mechanical parts and mechanisms of space and ground terminals or mechanical ground support equipment
  • Develop mechanical and thermal requirements in line with systems requirements
  • Manage the mechanical and thermal department, including task clarification, verification of inputs and outputs, and supporting team development and best practices
  • Perform mechanical and thermal analysis
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure development aligns with requirements
  • Support testing and validation activities
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including system design definitions and ICDs


Skills/Must Have:

  • Master's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in the relevant field
  • Experience with both mechanical and thermal FEA
  • Fluent verbal and written English
  • Experience writing quality technical documentation
  • Familiarity with ECSS standards
  • Citizenship from a member state of both the EU and NATO
