Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute migration of network infrastructure from on-prem Cisco environments to AWS
- Design and document AWS network architecture (VPCs, routing, segmentation, security groups)
- Map existing Cisco configurations to AWS services (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, NACLs)
- Configure and optimize AWS networking components (subnets, route tables, load balancers)
- Implement network security best practices (encryption, firewalls, DDoS protection)
- Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and ensure post-migration stability
- Produce technical documentation and runbooks
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- 6+ years’ experience with Cisco/Juniper networking
- Strong routing & switching experience
- Solid experience with BGP, OSPF, STP, IPsec, and WAN technologies (e.g. MPLS)
- Hands-on experience with Cisco (ASA, Nexus) and Juniper (SRX, EX) devices
- Strong troubleshooting and packet analysis skills
- Experience with AWS networking
- Familiarity with Terraform and infrastructure automation tools
